North Kensington Tackles Anti-Social Behaviour

The Metropolitan Police are intensifying efforts to combat anti-social behaviour in North Kensington following numerous complaints from residents. Incidents reported include individuals engaging in sexual activity within vehicles, excessive loud music, and the inhalation of nitrous oxide, commonly known as NOS.

Residents living on Blake Close have documented repeated disturbances occurring in the early hours of the morning over recent months. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that they have received photographic evidence of some vehicles associated with these activities and have begun taking action based on this information.

New CCTV Installation Planned

Notting Hill Housing has confirmed that funding has been approved for the installation of a CCTV camera on Barlby Road, an area close to Blake Close. This camera is expected to be operational within the next two months. The footage will be used to help identify vehicles involved in anti-social behaviour and provide evidence of their presence in Blake Close.

The Metropolitan Police stated that while the footage will not be directly owned or operated by the police, they will have access to it upon request for investigative purposes. This measure aims to provide a clearer picture of the incidents and assist in apprehending those responsible for the disturbances.
