Axel Rudakubana faces further charges at the Old Bailey following an alleged incident at Belmarsh prison.
Axel Rudakubana, a child murderer, has been charged with assaulting a prison officer at Belmarsh prison in south London by throwing boiling water mixed with sugar. The alleged attack occurred on May 8. Rudakubana is also facing charges for assaulting emergency workers on two previous dates and for possessing an offensive weapon in prison. Further Prison Incidents

The charge of possessing an offensive weapon relates to June of last year, when sharpened stone shards, believed to have been removed from his cell floor, were reportedly found affixed to a shelving unit.
Court Appearance and Transfer
Rudakubana, who is serving a life sentence for the murders of three children and the attempted murder of eleven other individuals, was charged on July 28. His case was subsequently sent to the Old Bailey. He is due to appear by videolink from custody for a plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Mark Lucraft KC. In July of this year, the Ministry of Justice confirmed Rudakubana’s transfer from Belmarsh prison to Broadmoor psychiatric hospital in Berkshire.
