Trial and conviction
Dinnage initially denied any sexual activity with the victim during police interviews. Forensic evidence later linked him to the crime. He then claimed the encounter was consensual, but digital evidence from his mobile phone contradicted his account, placing him near the victim’s caravan at the time of the attack.
A jury at Reading Crown Court found Dinnage guilty of rape on 8 June 2026. He was acquitted of two other charges: sexual assault and causing a female to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity. The trial followed a four-year investigation, which Thames Valley Police described as a difficult process for the victim.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show 2022 ran from 13 to 15 May. The event included a Platinum Jubilee celebration featuring performances by actors Tom Cruise and Dame Helen Mirren. The late Queen Elizabeth II attended the opening day, marking one of her final public appearances.
