A jury at Harrow Crown Court found Bruke Besalagne guilty of raping an elderly man outside St John’s Church, Harrow, shortly after midnight on 23 July 2025. The victim was described as defenceless by police. Besalagne, who had no fixed abode, was arrested at the scene and remanded in custody.

Haktan Nedhibox, 18, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on 17 August 2026. A 17-year-old will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court the following day. The victim is receiving specialist support from police officers.

Tony Standing, 46, admitted three charges relating to sexual communication with a child and grooming. Woolwich Crown Court heard his defence claim cocaine addiction drove the offences, but Judge Charlotte Welsh dismissed the explanation as "far-fetched". Standing remains in Belmarsh Prison awaiting sentencing next month.

Ryan Dinnage, of Caithness Walk, Croydon, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on 30 July to eight years and six months for raping a woman in her caravan in the early hours of 16 May 2022. The victim had been working at the Royal Windsor Horse Show when the offence occurred.

Gary Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, faces four charges relating to alleged sexual offences against a girl aged 8-11 between 1978 and 1981 at his Kensington and Chelsea home. He was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on 2 September 2026.
