Londoners Wanted: Rapist, Murder Probe Suspect, and Drug Smugglers Among Crimestoppers Appeals

Crimestoppers has issued appeals for several individuals believed to be in London, wanted for a range of serious offences. The list includes a man sought in connection with a murder investigation and a convicted rapist who failed to attend his trial.

Murder Investigation Appeal

Police are searching for Pierre Thompson, 41, from west London, as part of their inquiries into the death of Simon Whyte. Mr Whyte, 55, died after being shot on Harrow Road in Stonebridge on December 19, 2025. Detective Inspector Jim Barry stated that six months after Mr Whyte's death, his family are still seeking answers and urged anyone with information about Mr Thompson's whereabouts to contact the police or Crimestoppers.

Rapist Sentenced in Absentia

Alexandru Oprea received a sentence of over 11 years for rape, sexual assaults, and indecent exposure. The offences occurred in Essex in 2023. Oprea failed to attend his trial in June and was sentenced in his absence. He has links to London, Leicester, and Romania. The victim expressed their gratitude for the support and their hope for Oprea's swift apprehension, stating that individuals like him should not be free without consequence.

Robbery and Drug Smuggling Suspects

Rayan Mayou is wanted on suspicion of a high-value watch robbery at Regents Park Underground Station. Mayou, who is in his early 20s, has links to Croydon. Also sought is Reece Westley Jillings, in his 40s, who is wanted on suspicion of conspiracy to import and supply cocaine as part of a Metropolitan Police investigation named Operation Detox. Jillings is described as having a 'croaky London accent'.

Other Wanted Individuals

Shasho Mohammedi is wanted on recall to prison and has links to Hounslow. Nicolae Anghel is wanted on a warrant for failing to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court for extradition offences. Liam Byron is wanted on recall to prison for possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Other individuals on the list have links to various London boroughs and are wanted for offences including recall to prison and extradition proceedings.
