Police seek owner of teddy bear urn with human ashes found on train
British Transport Police are appealing for information after the item was discovered on an LNER service.

The small, red urn is described as being shaped like a teddy bear and is wrapped in purple and white artificial flowers. It was handed into lost property after the train arrived in Aberdeen.
Lost in transit
According to BTP, the urn is thought to have been lost within the last four months. Police Constable Gary Herning stated that the urn appears to hold human ashes or remains and will hold significant sentimental value for its owner. He added that there is no further information regarding where the owner may have boarded or disembarked the train during its journey.
PC Herning expressed hope that the individual or family concerned will come forward so that the urn can be returned safely. The public is urged to contact BTP on the non-emergency number 61016, quoting reference number 2600110174, if they have any information.
