The item is described as a small red urn, adorned with purple and white artificial flowers, and was found cradled by a teddy bear toy. BTP stated that the urn appears to contain human ashes or remains and will be of significant sentimental value.
Appeal for owner
Police Constable Gary Herning said that while the urn was handed into lost property upon the train's arrival in Aberdeen, there is no further information regarding where the owner may have boarded or alighted during the journey. The appeal is being made in the hope that the individual or family concerned will contact the police to arrange for the safe return of the item.
