Eleven men were arrested in Stratford on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage. The arrests were made by the Metropolitan Police on the evening of September 18, around 7:15 pm. Those detained are believed to be supporters of Millwall Football Club.

The group was apprehended in the vicinity of a public house known to be frequented by West Ham United supporters. The arrests took place in the E15 area of Stratford.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the eleven men remained in police custody following the arrests. The arrests were made in anticipation of a derby match between Millwall and West Ham, which was scheduled to take place on September 19.

This fixture marked the first meeting between the two clubs in over 14 years. The match was part of the Sky Bet Championship and kicked off at 12:30 pm at The Den in south east London.
