Haringey residents urged to help police probe daylight shots fired

The Metropolitan Police are investigating a firearms incident that occurred in Haringey on the morning of 29 September 2026. Officers were called to the area of Pemberton Road and Green Lanes at approximately 11:00 am after receiving reports of shots being fired. A number of spent bullet casings were recovered from the scene.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. The Met's Trident team is leading the investigation, with support from local detectives and neighbourhood officers. Police stated that enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate those believed to be involved, with initial information suggesting two males were involved.

A crime scene was in place while specialist officers continued their work. At the time of the report, police indicated there was no information to suggest any wider risk to the community.
