Rio Lounge, an Indian restaurant in East Croydon, has reopened after being handed the lowest possible food hygiene rating of zero following an inspection on July 4. The inspection uncovered a significant mouse infestation and mouldy fridges containing expired food.
Edmonton-based cake business Sugarbake (London) Limited and its manager Ismail Colak have been ordered to pay over £10,000 in fines and costs after admitting to six food hygiene offences. Enfield Council environmental health officers found mouse droppings and poor maintenance during an inspection.

FoodArt UK Limited has been fined £18,335 after pleading guilty to four food hygiene offences. Enfield Council officers discovered cat faeces and urine in the Brimsdown warehouse in January and February 2025, posing risks of serious illness.
