A Metropolitan Police officer has been dismissed without notice after a gross misconduct hearing found his actions amounted to a breach of professional standards. PC Dawid Lewicki was issued a restraining order by Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Charlie Stefano, 33, of Dagenham, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court for intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm. The attack on 13 February involved kicking, dragging, and phone destruction. Kent Police responded after the victim fled to a Chatham petrol station.
