The Metropolitan Police are investigating an alleged pickpocket gang suspected of targeting commuters near Ravenscourt Park Underground station. Officers believe the same group may be responsible for a string of thefts in the area.

On November 3, a phone valued at £1,000 was stolen. Suspects were pursued but managed to evade capture. The police stated that this incident is believed to be linked to the same gang.

Summer of Activity

Police Constable Joanne Day reported that the gang has allegedly been operating approximately three times per week, between 9am and 11am, throughout the summer months. The group is also suspected of targeting commuters at Turnham Green and Chiswick Park stations.

According to the force, the gang is thought to consist of four individuals: two men and two women. Reports suggest they enter and exit the station barriers, follow individuals, and commit pickpocketing offences, particularly on staircases. A lookout is allegedly positioned outside the station.

Descriptions provided for the male suspects include one aged between 28 and 30, with dark-toned white skin, standing at 173cm with a skinny build, light brown shaved hair, and a slight beard. He was reportedly seen wearing a black tracksuit, a white rucksack, and had visible tattoos during the summer. The second male suspect is described as being between 28 and 31, also with dark-toned white skin, 170cm tall, of medium build, with light brown shaved hair and a slight beard.

The two female suspects are described as Romanian, one with a skinny build and the other with a medium build.
