Man shot on Leigham Court Road, Streatham

A man in his 20s was shot on Leigham Court Road in Streatham, south London, on September 14. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service responded to the incident shortly after 3pm. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that police have confirmed are not life-threatening.

Investigation Underway

Forensic officers were observed collecting evidence from the ground on the Fern Lodge Estate, which is located near the incident site. A large cordon was in place while officers examined the area. The London Ambulance Service confirmed it deployed multiple resources, including ambulance crews and an advanced paramedic, to treat the man at the scene before his hospital transfer.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated that an investigation has been launched and enquiries are continuing at the scene. The community can expect to see an increased police presence in the area. At this early stage of the investigation, no arrests have been made.
