A British Heart Foundation charity shop located in Sidcup had its front window smashed by vandals last week. The incident has left staff and volunteers at the store feeling 'shocked and saddened', according to reports.

CCTV Footage Leads to Suspect Identification

Sidcup Partners Business Improvement District (BID) shared images of the damage on Tuesday, August 26. The BID stated that CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained and that the suspects are identifiable. They issued a warning, offering the individuals involved an opportunity to pay for the replacement window before the evidence is passed to the police.

In a statement shared on Facebook, Sidcup Partners BID expressed their strong disapproval, calling the vandalism 'absolutely disgusted'. The organisation emphasised that 'behaviour of this nature has no place' in Sidcup town centre. They noted that the offer to pay for repairs would not remain open indefinitely.

Jack Watson, area manager at the British Heart Foundation, told News Shopper, "We are shocked and saddened that our shop in Sidcup has been targeted by vandalism. Incidents like this are extremely upsetting for our colleagues, volunteers and customers alike." He also thanked the community for their support, highlighting the importance of donations for funding lifesaving heart research.
