Abdulkadir Mahamed, 22, died after he was stabbed in a street fight near Clapham High Street in the early hours of 25 July 2025. The incident occurred close to Tremadoc Road at approximately 04:20, the Metropolitan Police said.

Three men have appeared in court charged in connection with the death. Dvontre McCalla, 30, of Streatham, appeared at the Old Bailey on 4 August 2025 charged with murder. He was remanded in custody following a short hearing.

Weapons used on both sides, court told

Prosecutor Rebecca Hummerstone told the Old Bailey that the fatal incident followed a large fight that broke out shortly after bars in the area closed. People were milling in the street when the confrontation began.

There were weapons used on both sides of this particular incident and multiple injuries were caused to various people including this fatal incident to the deceased.

Hummerstone said Mahamed was on one side of the argument, while McCalla and others were on the opposite side. Four other men attended hospital with stab wounds, none of which were life-threatening, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.

Police investigation continues
