Putney Pusher suspect Nicholas Brandram found dead

Nicholas Brandram, 44, was discovered deceased at his residence in Chiswick on Tuesday evening. Mr Brandram had been taken into custody on June 15 as part of an inquiry into an incident that occurred on Putney Bridge in May 2017. The Metropolitan Police confirmed his death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious.

The arrest of Mr Brandram, a banker, was linked to the 'Putney Pusher' case. This investigation concerns an event on May 5, 2017, when a woman was pushed into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge. Mr Brandram was detained on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm.

Police statement

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended an address in Chiswick on Tuesday, September 15, after a man was found unresponsive. A 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin have been notified. The Metropolitan Police stated that a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service confirmed resources were dispatched following a call at 7.55pm on Tuesday evening concerning an incident. Very sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
