Restore Britain candidate's nominator made antisemitic remarks

Patrick McGinnis, who nominated Restore Britain's candidate for the Camden by-election, made antisemitic remarks in a 2024 video. McGinnis stated in the video that 'Jewish ideas' have 'ruined' the country and that 'Zionists control the media'. The video was posted on Odyssey from a National Housing Party (NHP) UK account.

The comments were highlighted by the charity Stand Up To Racism and shared with the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS). The video, titled 'Jewish ideas are destroying our country, not Islamic ones', was published on May 10, 2024. In it, McGinnis also expressed opposition to Muslims, Africans, Asians, Polish, and Russian people settling in the UK.

Campaign Links

McGinnis, identified as the leader and co-founder of the National Housing Party (NHP) and its nominating officer according to Electoral Commission records, had previously run as an NHP candidate. He has since endorsed Restore Britain for the upcoming Holborn & St Pancras by-election, triggered by Sir Keir Starmer's resignation.

Lewis Holmes, who appears to be linked to Restore Britain's campaign, has also made anti-immigrant comments on Facebook. Posts from a Facebook account in his name celebrate the work of 'patriots' leafleting for Restore and include comments such as, 'How about instead of telling third worlders not to spit s*** on the floor, we deport them? Simple.'

Another comment from the same account stated: 'They come from cultures incompatible with the British way of life. Every single one needs deporting.'

Party Leader's Stance

Rupert Lowe MP, leader of Restore Britain, has acknowledged mass immigration as a factor in the Holborn & St Pancras by-election. He framed the election as an opportunity to 'send the most powerful message that you want your capital city back'.

When contacted for comment by the LDRS, the NHP provided a brief response stating: 'You are an Anti-White Christ Hater.'
