Police investigate car chase and 'gunshot' reports on Kenton Lane

Metropolitan Police were called to Kenton Lane on Sunday, September 20, at approximately 8.50pm after receiving reports of a car pursuing another vehicle. Shortly after, officers were informed of possible gunshots in the same vicinity, along with a collision involving the two cars.

While initial inquiries are underway, no evidence has been found to suggest that a firearm was discharged. A police scene was established on Kenton Lane and Curzon Avenue, with specialist officers observed searching a drain area within the cordon.

A 30-year-old man, who was the driver of one of the vehicles involved, did not report any injuries. Those involved in the incident are understood to know each other, and police have stated there is no perceived threat to the wider public. No arrests have been made.

Kenton Lane remained closed in both directions between Locket Road and Dryden Road into the afternoon following the incident. Local neighbourhood officers are conducting increased patrols in the area to offer reassurance to residents.
