Ten arrested after Dagenham stabbing and firearms recovery

Ten people have been arrested in Dagenham following a stabbing incident and the recovery of suspected firearms. The arrests followed an incident on Thursday, September 10, when police were called to Rusper Road.

Officers responded at approximately 10:42am to reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a man in his 20s who had sustained injuries to his arm. Paramedics transported the victim to hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.

Firearms Recovered at Nearby Address

As part of their ongoing enquiries, police attended an address on Clementhorpe Road, also in Dagenham. A search of the property resulted in the recovery of a number of suspected firearms. The Metropolitan Police stated that it was not immediately clear how the firearms were linked to the stabbing.

Following the recovery of the suspected weapons, eight men and two women, all aged between 30 and 60, were arrested. They were taken into custody on suspicion of firearms offences. All ten individuals remain in police custody at this time.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that enquiries into the incident are continuing.
