Paramedics and Metropolitan Police officers arrived after reports of gunshots. Despite efforts to save him, Amoa died at the scene. Police have not confirmed whether he was the intended target.
Arrest and release
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on 11 August after presenting at a hospital with a gunshot wound. The Metropolitan Police confirmed he was later released without charge. No further arrests have been made.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Guiver, leading the investigation, said the case remained active. She urged anyone with information, including CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, to come forward. "Any piece of information you have could prove vital," she said.
Family statement
“Bile-aka touched so many hearts, and the pain of losing him is impossible to put into words. It is difficult to imagine a world without his smile, his presence, and the joy he brought to those around him.”
Amoa’s family described him as "amazing" and "full of love" in a statement released through the Metropolitan Police. They said they were "devastated" by his death and called for justice. "Family, friends, and colleagues are heartbroken," the statement said.
The family asked the public to help honour Amoa’s memory by ensuring his life is remembered and justice is served. They did not disclose funeral arrangements.
