A murder investigation is underway in Hounslow after human bones were discovered in woodland in Feltham. The remains are believed to belong to a woman aged between 25 and 45 years old. The discovery was made on Wednesday, August 12, at approximately 6.35pm near Padstow Walk.

Investigation Launched

The Metropolitan Police confirmed on Friday, August 21, that tests had verified the remains were human. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation, stated that detectives are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened. A post-mortem examination took place on Monday, August 17. It remains unclear how long the remains had been in the woodland.

Community Concerns and Appeal for Information

The woodland where the discovery was made backs onto Hounslow's Bedfont Lakes Country Park. Local residents have suggested that recent wildfires in the area may have exposed the remains, but this has not been confirmed by the London Fire Brigade. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting CAD 6452/12AUG, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
