Two men have been jailed after a series of violent robberies in the City of London left one victim stabbed and another assaulted. The attacks happened in the early hours of 8 September 2024 on Appold Street and Curtain Road.

Knives used in two separate attacks

The first robbery took place just before 3am on Appold Street. A BMW stopped near three people, two men and a woman. Two suspects got out, threatened the group with knives, and demanded their watches.

One man was stabbed twice in the buttocks and suffered a head wound. A Citizen watch worth around £400 was stolen from him. The female victim was kicked in the head, while the third victim was put in a headlock and forced to hand over a £200 Bulova watch.

Five minutes later, a second robbery occurred on Curtain Road. Two men and a woman were returning to their car when a BMW pulled up. The suspects demanded their watches. A Tissot T-Classic watch worth around £400 was stolen, and one victim was hit in the face.

These were exceptionally violent and frightening attacks in which the offenders showed a complete disregard for the safety of their victims.
