Man sought over homophobic assault in Hackney
Police released an image of a man they wish to speak to regarding an incident in Broadway Market.

A 23-year-old man was subjected to homophobic abuse and subsequently assaulted. The London Ambulance Service attended the scene at the time. The victim later sought hospital treatment for an injury to his face.
Investigation and Support
Detective Constable Jack Hiew of Stoke Newington Police Station stated that the victim is being supported by specialist LGBT+ liaison officers. He added that various enquiries have been conducted to identify the suspect, leading to the current public appeal.
Officers are asking anyone who recognises the man in the released image to come forward. Information can be provided by calling 101 and quoting the reference CAD 4508/26AUG26. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
